Macintosh System 7.5.1 Set-Up

Operating System: Macintosh OS 7.51

Application: ConfigPPP

1. From the Apple menu select Control Pannels.
2. Within Control Pannel select PPP.
   
   

1. In the Port Name field select Modem Port
2. Make sure that Idle Timeout and Echo Interval are both set to Off
3. Make sure that Hang Up on Close and Quiet Mode are checked.
4. All other boxes should be Un-Checked
5. Click on the New button
   
   

1. In the PPP Server Name field enter The Office Net
2. Port Speed and Flow Control will already be set.
3. Make sure that Tone Dialing is selected.
4. In the Phone Number field enter the Local dial up number for your area.
   Note: If you have call waiting enter *70, before the number to disable call waiting.
5. The Modem Init field should already be configured to your modem
6. Make sure that the Modem Connect Timeout is set to 90 seconds.
7. Click on the Authentication button.
   
   

1. Enter your full username only (user) in the Auth ID field.
2. Enter your password in the Password field.
3. Click on Ok when done.
4. Click on the LCP Options button
   
   

1. In the Authentication (PAP) field, check Remote Want and Remote Will
2. Click on the OK button when complete.
3. Click on the Connect Script button.
   
   

1. Make sure that all the boxes are blank.
2. Make sure that all the buttons are set to Out.
3. Click on OK when done.
4. Click on the Done button.
5. Close ConfigPPP
6. Your system is now configured.
