Mac OS8/iMac Dialer Configuration

STEP 1



1. After installing OS8 you should see the Internet Setup Assistant. (If you don't see it, you'll find it in the Assistants folder on your hard drive.) Double-click the Internet Setup Assistant icon.


STEP 2



1. Click the Update button.

. Click the right arrow here.

STEP 4

. Select 'Add Internet configuration'.

. Click the right arrow.

. Type in The Office Net into the name configuration box.

. Select Modem.

. Click the right arrow.

. Select your modem from the list.

. Select the port modem is connected to (usually modem port).

. Select 'Tone'.

. Click the right arrow.

. Choose a local phone number and enter it in the first box.

. Type your username.

. Type your password.(case sensitive)

. Click the right arrow.

. Select 'No'.

. Click the right arrow.

. Insert the following addresses into the DNS Address field:
65.166.240.2 & 65.166.244.2

. Type theofficenet.com in the Domain Name (bottom) box.

. Click the right arrow when done.

STEP 10

. Type your username and the @ sign then type theofficenet.com (Make sure there are no spaces here.)

. Type your password (case sensitive)

. Click the right arrow key.

. Type your username and the @ sign then type mail.theofficenet.com

. Type mail.theofficenet.com in the bottom box (SMTP).

. Make sure there are no spaces and click the right arrow.

. Do not type in anything for the Newsgroup Host. Click the right arrow.

. If you wish to connect now select 'Connect when finished'.

. Click the Go Ahead button when you are ready.

When Done:
Select the Apple Menu
Next Select Control Panels and use Remote Access


Click the Connect button

Once connected you can now run your Browser, Internet application, or Email application.
