SECTION - VI...  RAD Polygonometry

Polygonometry is "the branch of mathematics dealing with polygons."  I am not presenting this branch of mathematics in these writings.  I am presenting, what I think to be, an interesting array of data that has polygons interrelated throughout.  Henceforth I will just refer to items appearing within as Poly Math.

As I related prior, I was curious to see if a square was just a crude circle.  So, I proceeded to investigate by attempting to insert a regular polygon into scenarios wherever a circle would appear.  I started with simple and went to more complex.  I wrote several computer programs to see if things remained true out to sixteen decimal places...  I ended up with a book about three inches thick.  I have pared it down a bit for these writings.

My adventure with polygons was actually fun.  It answered questions I had, as well as new items encountered.  I did all this math independently without knowing if anyone else did any of the same.  Later, upon some investigation, I found that some of my work had been explored by others.  It was concerning Trigonometry worked out on a 45 degree angle instead of a circle quadrant arc.  Mine was not exactly as theirs, but enough similar that I will not boast any new unknown discoveries.  I do think I might have a couple of unique items, but who knows?  I will say, in general, the information presented here is not found readily upon the shelves of the local bookstores.

GRAPHICS  SPECIAL  NOTE...

I tried various methods for creating and importing my math graphics into my web site.  I wanted to keep the memory required to a minimum, so pages come up quickly.  I finally settled for creating my drawings in a CAD program, and then copying and pasting them into MS FrontPage.  The drawback__ they don't print directly from the internet browsers!   So, if you want to print my graphics... do a right click, select Save Image as a GIF file, into some folder you designate.  Then the graphic pictures will come up in a photo program such as Adobe... this will allow you to manipulate, and print.
