Radio Randy's Web Page

Welcome to "Radio Randy's" Web Page

Hi, I'm Radio Randy and WELCOME to my Web Page.

For those who don't know me, I'm the Northeast Region Radio Technician for the Washington State Department of Natural Resources office in Colville, WA. I am also Amateur Radio operator N7CKJ.

If you've been here before, you've seen some of my Radios and Assorted Goodies.

If this is your first time, let it be known that I EAT, BREATHE and SLEEP radio and electronics, so THAT should explain much that you might see here. Keep in mind, however, that this site will be kept "boringly" simple, with only pictures of my changing electronics collection and an occasional shot of myself or one of my fellow techs up on some radio tower in the Washington wilderness.

Due to the enormous amount of time required to maintain a graphics rich and constantly updated Web page, you won't find endless supplies of "Eye Candy" on this site. I have many other hobbies which demand my time (not to mention the XYL and work) so it may be weeks (or months) before I can sit down and do many changes here.

One Internet activity I thoroughly enjoy is looking up photos and information on old radios and such. I know there are plenty of Web sites catering to this particular hobby but occasionally you come across that old radio or VTVM that nobody EVER seems to have. So, sit back, take a stroll and drool at some of the actual equipment I've collected from names such as Hallicrafters, Heathkit and Gonset.

If you have an interest in the Amateur Radio hobby, a good place to look is The American Radio Relay League. If you ARE a "Ham" and ever in the Colville area, give me a shout on the 146.62 repeater. Better yet, give our club station, K7JAR, a call during the next Field Day.
